No one is exempt from trials and tribulations in this life. Fund Recovery’s volunteers and board members each carry their own past experiences and stories of behavioral health and substance misuse. We understand, and we’re here to help provide the level of care and support everyone deserves.

Since 2011, Fund Recovery has existed to break the cycle of mental health issues by addressing the funding gap of a person who is struggling and their recovery. Our mission is to support people struggling with mental health or substance misuse who cannot afford help otherwise by directly funding the afflicted person or by assisting those who care for them. Fund Recovery provides financial assistance and scholarships for addiction and mental health services for individuals seeking change.

OUR MISSION

The Fund Recovery Board is made up of a group of individuals who are passionate about supporting those in need of the financial assistance necessary to help them recover from mental health or substance misuse issues. 

MEET THE BOARD

Josh Ware

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR | FUND RECOVERY

  • Before joining Fund Recovery, Josh was a small business owner in Columbus, OH, where he spent 25 years developing a deep understanding of business operations and a passion for community service. His entrepreneurial experience has equipped him with valuable skills in leadership, problem-solving, and client-centered care, all of which he now applies to advancing Fund Recovery’s mission.
    Josh is driven by the belief that mental health and recovery services should be accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstances. Josh joined Fund Recovery in a business development role in the fall of 2024 where he quickly made a significant impact. In his current role as Executive Director, he continues to utilize his past experience to help expand our organization’s reach, ensuring that individuals in need receive the financial support and scholarships necessary for their mental health and recovery journeys.

  • Ryan is the executive director of Fund Recovery. Ryan’s experience in the behavioral health, hospital, & health care industry brought him to Fund Recovery, and since then he has driven the direction and resources of the organization to reach more people in need. Ryan has founded various businesses in the behavioral health industry and is the president of Spero Group.

Chad Koller, MBA, MHA, MS

Vice President, Substance Use Disorders | Universal Health Services, Inc. | UHS of Delaware, Inc.

  • Chad Koller brings with him a wide range of experience in healthcare leadership to the Fund Recovery board. Chad is CEO of Skywood Recovery and has served in various executive roles in the healthcare field. Chad is from Chicago and earned his bachelor’s degree at Middle Tennessee State University, masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, and executive master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University.

Jerome Adams

20TH US SURGEON GENERAL

  • As the 20th U.S. Surgeon General and a prior member of the President’s Coronavirus task force, Dr. Adams has been at the forefront of America’s most pressing health challenges. A regular communicator via tv, radio, and print, Dr. Adams is an expert not just in the science, but also in communicating the science to the lay public, and making it relevant to various audiences.

Lauren Renschler

FOUNDER & CEO | WILLIAM RAYMOND COMMUNICATIONS

  • Lauren is the founder and CEO of William Raymond Communications, a public relations and marketing firm for professional athletes and entertainers. Lauren’s work with athletes brings a background to the Fund Recovery board that will allow us to care for a segment frequently plagued with addiction. A star within her industry, Lauren has represented sports' biggest names, including athletes and commentators in the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, action sports and professional boxing.

Leighann Westfall

LSU TAF, VICE PRESIDENT OF DONOR RELATIONS AND STEWARDSHIP

  • Leighann oversees the daily operations for LSU’s L Club, the school’s letterwinner program, as well as handling oversight for LSU’s spirit squads and community relations unit. Leighann was instrumental in the creation of Tiger Legacy Care, a mental health support program offered by LSU Athletics to all former LSU student-athletes. Her background in the sports entertainment industry includes previously working for minor league baseball and the Academy of Country Music Awards. In the community, Leighann is a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo volunteer committee member and is involved with numerous benefit events including the Golden Cleats Combine benefitting Kelly Cares Foundation and Baton Rouge Child Advocacy Center’s Celebrity Waiter Event. Leighann is originally from Houston, Texas, but loves to call Louisiana her second home.

Jake Golich

Regional Vice President, Behavioral Health Services, HCA, TriStar Division

Chief Executive Officer, Pinewood Springs Mental Health & Wellness

  • Jake Golich has served as the Regional Vice President for TriStar Behavioral Health since August 2020. In August 2023, he also assumed the CEO role for Pinewood Springs Mental Health & Wellness.

    Prior to his tenure with HCA, Jake spent the majority of his early career in Arizona where he joined Mountain Vista Medical Center (IASIS Healthcare) as an Associate Administrator. Over the near decade in the desert, he progressed into different executive leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer, Administrator of Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital, and eventually into Chief Executive Officer and President at Mountain Vista Medical Center. He fostered relationships with key physician groups, Arizona State University, Phoenix Suns, City of Mesa, and other local organizations as the hospital grew and eventually added a satellite campus.

    Jake earned his undergraduate degree at Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He then completed his Masters in Healthcare Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago and his administrative preceptorship at the University of Illinois Medical Center. Jake completed a postgraduate administrative fellowship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a current board member for the Alzheimer’s Association Tennessee Chapter.

Richard Fleming

Vice President, Commercial Banking at Truist Bank

  • Richard Fleming is the Vice President of Commercial Banking at Truist Bank in Nashville, Tennessee. With 23 years of experience in the finance industry, Richard has built a distinguished career, serving in various leadership and advisory roles. His expertise spans commercial banking, financial strategy, and client relationship management, making him a trusted partner to businesses across the region.

    A 2002 graduate Ole Miss Richard earned a degree in Applied Psychology, equipping him with a unique perspective on understanding client needs and fostering meaningful connections.

    As a Nashville native, Richard is deeply committed to supporting the growth and success of his community. His local insights and financial acumen position him as a key figure in driving commercial success and empowering businesses in the region.

Letha Atwater

WIFE OF HALL OF FAMER, MS, LPC, LAC, MFTC, RPT, CSST, CSAT

  • Letha brings clinical knowledge, training, and practice to the Fund Recovery Board. She is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed addiction counselor in Colorado, and works with diverse individuals, couples, and families to improve mental health and overall functioning. She is also a registered play therapist and is certified as a clinical systemic art therapist, clinical systemic sandplay therapist, and clinical supervisor. Her areas of expertise include addiction, depression, anxiety, adjustment, identity, mindfulness, post career transition, and understanding the culture of sports. Her professional experience includes her work at schools, in-patient treatment facilities, homeless shelters, The American Red Cross, and the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Besides devoting a great deal of time and energy to counseling, Letha continues to be involved with several community initiatives, including being a member of the Denver Mayor’s Behavioral Health Steering Committee, the Denver DA’s Justice Programs Foundation, and the Bridging the Gap: Kids & Cops Program. Letha is also a board member for the Colorado School for Family Therapy. She currently works with the Denver District Attorney’s Office - Diversion Unit and the Denver Youth Detention Continuum - Youth Services Program. Letha also participates in events around the country helping to address stigma and raise awareness of mental illness.

Michael Rich, MD

MEDICAL DIRECTOR in the department of Psychiatry at both Aultman Hospital and Aultman Alliance Community Hospital

  • Dr. Rich brings a solid background of clinical training and practice to the Fund Recovery board. Dr. Rich was educated at the University of Toledo College of Medicine with his residency training in psychiatry at the University of Louisville School Of Medicine. Dr. Rich is a board-certified Psychiatrist and has cared for patients experiencing a wide range of mental health and addiction-related conditions for 27 years. He currently serves as the Medical Director in the department of Psychiatry at both Aultman Hospital and Aultman Alliance Community Hospital. Lastly, Dr. Rich is an Associate Professor at NEOMED in Ohio where he teaches medical students.

Marsha Stone

FOUNDER & CEO OF FOUNDATION STONE, ENTREPRENEUR, SPEAKER, AUTHOR

  • Marsha is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the health wellness and fitness industry. Marsha’s background in Nonprofit Organizations, Crisis Intervention, Family Therapy, Case Management, and Prevention will prove to be an incredible asset to the Fund Recovery board. Marsha is a strong business development professional with a Doctorate of Law (JD) focused in Law from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

JT Hodges

ENTERTAINER AND ENTREPRENEUR

  • JT Hodges is an ACM-nominated artist and made a striking entrance into the Country music scene with his debut single "Hunt You Down," which climbed its way up the Billboard Hot Country chart. This success was followed by several top ten singles, including "Goodbyes Made you Mine", "Ray Bans", and "Sleepy Little Town"—the latter securing a number one record. Hodges also made waves recently with his official Pro Football Hall of Fame song, "Canton is Calling," released in August of 2023. His musical talents have seen him collaborate with notable artists like Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas, Butch Walker, Eli Young Band, and Toby Keith.

    However, Hodges' repertoire extends beyond music; his acting credits include roles in the Hallmark film "Finding Christmas" in 2013 and Lifetime’s "Christmas Stars" in 2019. Currently, he has ventured into film production, having created, executive produced, composed, and starred in the forthcoming film "Written in the Sand," set to release in late 2024.

Eric Decker

FORMER NFL PLAYER AND ENTREPRENEUR

  • Eric Decker is an accomplished athlete, entrepreneur, TV personality, spokesperson, and philanthropist. A wide receiver for the NFL from 2010-2018, Decker played for the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans, receiving the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award in 2015 and being named United Way's Hometown Hero at the XXIII Gridiron Gala. A Minnesota native, he also set football records and made Big Ten Conference history while attending the University of Minnesota. Married to country singer Jessie James Decker, the duo starred in the E! reality series Eric & Jessie: Game On and now owns and operates the popular, Nashville-owned fashion brand Kittenish. As a philanthropist, Decker is a longtime supporter of HopeKids. Its mission is to restore hope and transform the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions, their families, and communities. He has also served as a board member for Nashville Wine Auction, a self-sustaining, non-profit organization that exists solely to raise funds to support the fight against cancer. In 2023, Decker received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Minnesota.

Tom Jackowski

GENERAL COUNSEL AT VALIANT WEALTH, IMPACT ONE FOUNDATION, THOMAS AND JULIE JACKOWKI

  • One person, one family, one community, one country, One GOD.

    It is the mission of the "Impact One Foundation", to effect change thru impact investing. Core constituencies include, children and families, homelessness, food insecurity, education, and health care, including, suicide prevention, abuse and mental health. Leveraging existing relationships with other likeminded individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and impact generating industries allow for a greater resource allocation and thus, a greater impact. It is the goal of the "Impact OneFoundation" to eliminate the root causes of poverty and injustice in the world one impactful moment at a time.

    Stewardship is at the core of the Impact One Foundation’s beliefs. Injustice prevails when good people do nothing to right the wrongs they see. Who would we be if we were not trying to make the world a better place? In order to make the world a better place IOF endeavors to meet people where they are at.

    Thomas Jackowski is successful Lawyer, business leader, entrepreneur and philanthropist. After a 20 year stint in private practice he went on to the business world; where his his entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with his ability to think strategically ,led to the formation of a number of for profit and non profit ventures. Each successful in their own right. Many of these effort’s are change agents inside of industries they represent. His award winning flag ship non profit,Bridges of Iowa, is widely considered to be the industry standard in the delivery of treatment services to the criminal justice system. Tom believes in the "three T’s", time, talent and treasure with the people and NPO’s he supports. Tom’s most important strategic partnership is with his wife of 30 years, Julie who shares his entrepreneurial spirt. They have four children and two grandchildren.
